The Future of Nepal's Politics

Being a student I also experience politics and judge my country Nepal and all the people. I have experienced and learned politics not only form classroom but also from protests, social networks, and social movements. A lot of youth have spoken up against injustice, poor governance, and broken promises. For example, Gen-Z protests had demonstrated that students are no longer voiceless. We ask questions to our leaders and want changes rather than those time-wasting speeches. Looking into the past, it can be observed that the Nepalese government politic was carried by corrupted leaders who care more about their positions rather than serving the country. And today also I don’t find much of a change in those people. The acts of misbehavior, lack of proper policing, and an uncertain government have led many students to lose faith in leaders. Many youth, in fact, think of leaving their country, not trusting any possible changes in government. From a student’s perspective, the future may head towards two ways. Either the same corrupted mentality will continue, and independent protests might emerge again and political instability may be increased, or a new, honest, and consistent leadership might come up from among the new generation, and Nepalese politics will be made more transparent, people-oriented, and thus students would be inspired to construct their own country rather than constructing another country.
